Start by taking a drive to Venice Beach. Originally a seaside resort town, this surfer’s paradise has become a hub of the counterculture in Los Angeles, crisscrossed by canals. Enjoy the Venice Boardwalk’s street entertainers and merchants as we learn about the origins of skateboarding culture while strolling.
See the headquarters of “Baywatch” and Muscle Beach. Then, travel north to Santa Monica. The hippodrome and carnival noises of the Santa Monica Pier will enthrall you. Don’t forget to take a picture at the end of Historic Route 66.
The Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles is a great place to have a leisurely lunch. Restaurant Row on La Cienega will be our next destination, where we’ll get to experience some of the world’s best restaurants, such as The Stinking Rose. Additionally, you’ll pass through historic sites like the Saban Theater and Miracle Mile. LACMA’s “Urban Lights” display allows visitors to experience ancient marvels in the park at La Brea Tar Pits while standing within the exhibit.
We’ll pass Jim Henson Studios, the Church of Scientology, Capitol Records, and the Hollywood Sign on our journey into Hollywood. Make your way to Grauman’s Chinese Theater in front of the Walk of Fame and count the stars on the sidewalk. The Oscars are held in the Dolby Theater, so don’t forget to pose as we make our way up the steps.
Take a ride along Sunset Boulevard as your guide tells you everything about the famous musicians that have performed here, including Whisky A Go-Go and House of Blues.
Finally, take a stroll through Beverly Hills’ palm-tree-lined streets. Tour the grounds of Greystone Manor, a billion-dollar home. We’ll also see the Playboy Mansion and the residences of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe, Orlando Bloom, and many more. Then go to Rodeo Drive, where you’ll be able to stock up on luxury goods before our trip back to Westside Pavilion and the end of your fantastic LA Highlights Tour.”
